Balfour is the western port for the Kootenay Lake Ferry, North America’s longest free ferry and part of BC’s Highway 3A. This small port community offers numerous restaurants, retail shops and a bakery. Just five minutes south of Balfour is Kokanee Creek Provincial Park. This full-facility, family-oriented park has a gorgeous sand spit beach adjacent to a spacious campground.
