For centuries, Ainsworth Hot Springs has attracted visitors to its natural hot springs – including tired miners as far back as 1882. The hot springs has a unique 150-ft. horseshoe cave system, as well as two outdoor pools and an attached hotel. The unincorporated community is also home to the most historical building on Kootenay Lake – The Mermaid Lodge.
